My game (BfBC2) has been running smoothly for 3 - 4 months ... regularly checking the game cache and no problems found.

Lately i'm experiencing 1 - 4 crashes during a single round ... Only thing i have changed, is the regular windows updates.

Right now i'm at a loss and don't know what to do about is ... and can't blame BF3 :(

This game is so random I used to get loads of weird things happen like the crashes which we thought were due to pressing the tab button but I have also crashed when I pressed the escape button too.

I used to sometimes get the main intro loading screen (the one you press escape to get rid of when the game first loads) appearing or starting after I had finished an online round it was like the game was mixed up........I even defragged the game and it still did it.

The strange thing is; it only happens on the GDZ server..
I use DirectX 11

Have you tried changing the dxlevelauto in game settings.ini to dxlevel9 or dxlevel10?

Maybe try that

I tried too and it still crashes. Mainly when driving a tank and "Missile Locked"apears on screen. But not always... Strange is it not? :(
