ISP found out you were a bummer from a groundpounder shaped source, so they are punishing you.

I would speak to Virgin, as I would suggest your traffic to the gameserver IP range is being shaped, due to you spending a lot of time connected to it with unusual ports numbers.

Cheers for that.

I tell what has happened in the last 6 months my ping doubled on the same speed connection,I used to get 20ms pinging a server in Leeds but now I get around 40ms.

Is that a sign of traffic shaping?

Did a test today since I got the new 30mb line and there was no fluctuation I will monitor it to see if they fiddle with it at certain times of the day.

Spoke to virgin we did some tests and I had no fluctuations and I haven't had any major lag issues as such but my ping is now at 200 all the time.

Is that the equivalent of around 67?

Seems a little high, the ping on the server browser should be reasonably accurate for your ping to the gameserver, so whatever you get in game, as long as its stable, should be similar to the ping in the server browser after doing the maths on it.

Thanks yet again just been testing downloads too and I have no loss on them.

Only problem is this game and that's it I'm afraid.
