Recommend me a router!
« on: September 06, 2012, 12:45:48 pm »
Okay so my Linksys wrt54g2 is having some issues with dropping wireless connections constantly, and now even wired connections at times. No amount of resetting, fresh firmware installs or the most colourful swearing I can think of seems to be making a difference.
I've only ever had experience with 3 routers, this linksys, my mother's old Netgear and an even older non-wireless edimax (which still works great, but no wireless )

So, any suggestions?
Hmm, yes, quite

Anything with Cisco written on it.

Belkin then, with open-wrt or tomato firmware.

My WRT's are really stable with the tomato firmware installed.
Otherwise I would go for a Netgear or other Linksys.

My wrt54g2 is a 1.5 model, on which it is impossible to install different firmware such as tomato or dd-wrt :(
I might give Belkin a go then
